Rose - Lee Hi

Every rose has its thorn...

Well...This sentence keeps playing on my mind. After like 2 or 3 weeks haven't posted any blogs, suddenly I wanna write a review about Lee Hi's new song "Rose".

Finally i can get rid of BoA's Disturbace song ( little bit). Actually still listening to that song everyday but not as much as 2-3 weeks ago =)

For Kpop lovers, who doesn't know Lee Hi. She is a new - talented young singer, runner up from SBS Kpop Star ( some kind of audition like American Idol in South Korea). Her first song is 1,2,3,4.. This song is also nice and ear- catching song .

Check this song out!

Her voice reminds me of Adele's or Duffy's, powerful and kind a husky. On the new MV, she looks so beautiful in soft pastel make up with roses head band (totally my taste!). I wish I could have make up like her !

Even some of her make up looks like Cullen family in Twilight hahahaha!

well, enjoy the MV =D

In case you don't understand what she says, just check the translation below ( I don't understand too =P)

My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you
Don’t look at me with that light glance
Don’t speak of love easily
If you want my heart, you need to take my pain too
Because you will be pricked by my thorns someday
Don’t trust me too much
You don’t know me that well yet
So just run away run away
I said ooh ooh ooh
Don’t love me
You don’t know me that well yet
I said run away just run away
Don’t come to me
My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you
Seeing your confidence makes me feel so bad for you
Your confident footsteps toward me looks so pitiful today
Emotions? That’s an extravagance to me
Love? That’s Obsession’s best friend
So run away just run away
Cuz you and I must come to an end
Every rose has its thorn
Every rose has its thorn
Every rose has its thorn
Don’t trust me too much
You don’t know me that well yet
So just run away run away
I said ooh ooh ooh
Don’t love me
You don’t know me that well yet
I said run away just run away
Don’t come to me
My love is like a red rose
It may be beautiful now
But my sharp thorns will hurt you
My love is like a red rose
Yes, I may be fragrant
But the closer you get, the more I’ll hurt you

Disturbance - BoA

Hiiii guysss, have you ever kept listening one song and never get bored of it?
Or watching Youtube but can't stop pressing play button after the video ends?
Oh geeeez! This is happenning to me now..I'm in love with BoA's new song called Disturbance ( yeahhhh this song disturb me everyday & every time). I hear this song like all day long and it has been I dunno how many days since I heard that song for the first time. Especially when i saw the video clip.. OMG I really love the scene, story and of course the models! See the video below :

So actually this song is described about lovers who are in complicated relationship ( not sure about they relationship status because the guy is getting cold to the girl). Focusing on a hourglass, this video reminds the guy how happy they were in the past. The unique part of this video is the ending. In the end of the video you can choose either happy or sad ending. If you choose go back to the past (happy ending), the guy will meet the girl and say that he still loves her and start over they relationship . But if you choose let time go by (sad ending), you will see the guy is crying because he regrets everything, the girl is actually watching the guy but she choose to leave the guy ( ends their relationship).

Sooooooo cute each other

love his smile !

Bangkok Getaway - End of holiday

Actually our tour was for 5 days 4 nights. I've written about our activities and places that we visited from the first day we arrived until the third day. On the fourth day, we went to Four Faces Buddha. This place is a praying place located nearby our hotel ( Baiyoke Sky Hotel). I didn't take a single picture in there because i was praying too =). We only had like 1 hour in there and then we were supposed to be taken to Central World Mall.

Since that day was sunday and  we are Indonesian,( I believe that Malls in Indonesia are the best malls compared others countries !) we decided to got to Chatuchak Weekend Market or local called it JJ Market . By reading the name, you already know that this market open only on weekend and this is a traditional market. This market is the largest market in Thailand and the world's largest traditional market (14 HA of course!). Since we planned to go ourselves, the tour guide couldn't took us there because we were not suppose to go there, but she took us to the Phaya Thai BTS. Our route was from Phaya Thai going to Mo Chit (the last stop for BTS). We bought BTS ticket (actually it is in coin form) for 40THB/ person for a single way. FYI, there are 2 BTS' in Bangkok, we took Sumkhuvit Line NOT the Silom Line. Sumkhuvit Line runs from North to East where Silom Line runs from west to south).

The interior inside BTS was clean and well cared. But there were no seats left so we stood until the BTS arrived in Mo Chit Station. From Mo Chit Station, we had to walk around 10 minutes (just follow the road) and we found Chatuchak Weekend market!

All i can say is this is REALLY a HUGE traditional market! Contains of 27 sections and they sell everything here ( foods, clothes, plant, art stuffs, even they sell animal!). Because we went there to shop clothes, we directly went to clothes section (2-6, 10-26). I heard that fashion items here are cheaper compared with other market or mall, actually it is! We shopped for like 6 hours in there! hahahaha

Since we were 8 people , we couldn't go back by taking 1 taxi and we were to tired after shopping all day long. So we went back in separate transportation (same destinantion). 2 people took tuk tuk, it cost around 200THB (from 250 THB), 4people take taxi without meter for 150THB and me & my cousin took taxi with meters only for 108 THB ! See the differences...Even last time we took tuk tuk from MBK Mall to Baiyoke Sky we had to pay 200THB/ tuk tuk ( really close distance). Heyyyyy. this is not funny at all, why would you take expensive tuk tuk without air-cond? I prefer use taxi of course!

On the last day (day 5) we all went back home to Indonesia because out flight is in the morning, so there is no time to go anywhere =(

Soooo, that was great experiences in Bangkok & Pattaya, I hope this blog will help you
( I read a lot of blogs too before arriving in Bangkok and i found that blogs are super helpful ). Thank You for reading my blog, please leave a comment...

Bangkok Getaway - Day 3

Hello again!!!!!
On the third day in Thailand, we went to Nong Nooch Village. It is a tropical garden located in Pattaya. You can watch Thai's cultural dances, kickboxing, and elephant show. This place is kinda similar to Taman Mini Indonesia which is located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Everything's here is all about cultural things. Even I wore batik for this place hahahaha ( yess everything is all about culture!)

Outfit for today!

The weather here was super hot ! Thank God i was wearing this outfit! I didn't take any pictures about kickboxing show or any other kind of cultural shows because we didn't get any seats and it was too crowded ! But i did shoot pictures from elephant show =D

and some pictures at the garden =D

The garden is so beautiful !

Today after watching the cultural show, the tour guide took us to shop at dry market foods. I recommend not to buy things from dry food market because the price is double than the original place. All of the tour guide will bring you to this place so they can get incentive from what u purchase. I found out the price is more expensive after buying similar products in the floating market previously. After shopping, we went back to Bangkok.

Arrived in Bangkok, we went to MBK mall again. At MBK, I found something that made me started salivating.....

OMG I found this !!!! I've been craving to eat this since I haven't visited Malaysia again. I definitely miss this food so badly, I always spend time eating with my boy friend or my close friends ( Mellina,Vera & Ong, I miss u guys) during uni life. But, I found this too late, they were cleaning the table and started to close the restaurant  T__T. Bar.b-q plaza is originated from Thailand, it is a self cooking bbq with a pan that can be used for grilling or steaming the soup.

Those pictures above are from my old pictures in Malaysia. Well.. well. move on (i think this topics is out of topic hahahaha)

That was my day 3 trip, hope you guys enjoy reading my blog. Continue to day 4...

Bangkok Getaway - Day 2 part 2

Right after having lunch, we headed to Pattaya and we would stay overnight in there. It took approximately 2 hours  to reach there. During the trip, everyone were sleeping in the van because we were very tired and lack of sleep ( every night we go to night market under our hotel until 2 AM in the morning).

When we arrived in Pattaya, the tour guide took us to the leather shop. I didn't take a picture because i found nothing interested in there. Then the tour guide brought us to Bee Farm.  In there, we were shown and educated all about bees and honey. They taught us how to differentiate between the original and the fake honey ( It's very interesting topic i guess).

Giant bee's nest

Everything that are sold there are made from honey. Not only selling honey for medication, they sell some beauty products like face scrub, bath soap and so on. Finally we bought honey and royal jelly, as a gift they gave us honey bath soap for freeeeeeee!

The next destination was floating market. Thailand is very popular with their floating market. In floating market, most of the people sell foods and snacks.
Mango sticky rice stall

Not sure with the food name but this one looks like seafood pancake

I bought some Durian chips as a gift for my friends. I found that the price here was cheaper compared with dry food market ( double price). I also found that they sell some odd foods like crocodile satay ! By the way i tested the satay and it tastes just like pork. Since the flavor was nice, i didn't mind to eat a lot =P

Satisfy with foods in floating market, we checked in a hotel called The Bay View Pattaya and then continued watching cabaret show ( Alcazar show) . I had been waiting to watch ladyboys performance since i heard that Thailand has the most beautiful ladyboy in the world. In here, the ladyboys are accepted and appreciated as the third gender.

To take pictures with them, you have to pay 40 THB for each ladyboy. They are really tall and their skin is so flawless OMG !

Day 2 trip passed nicely =D

Bangkok Getaway - Day 2 part 1

Let's continue the journey...

On the second day of our holiday, we would like to visit Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha) and Wat Arun. After that, we would head to Pattaya. We stayed at the tallest building in Thailand and also the tallest hotel in Southeast Asia which are Baiyoke Sky Hotel. It is a four stars hotel  with the 85 floors and it is located in heart of Bangkok. Starting the second day of trip, we had our breakfast in 78th floor ( Damn high just to have breakfast).

My breakfast

After finishing our breakfast, the tour guide picked us up and we went to Wat Pho and Wat Arun.
We arrived on the destination in less than 1 hour. The location is not really far from our hotel actually. Because  this place is a holly place, the visitor must dress appropriately. Actually i wore some kind of tube dress and bring my cardigan ( i knew i wouldn't be able to enter the place because my dress is kinda inappropriate). I heard that it will be so HOT in the both places, so don't forget to bring sunglasses or umbrella =)

Just in the entrance, you'll see a huge reclining Buddha statue which is covered by gold.

Wishing bowl - you have to buy the coin in order to fill the bowls. It is around 20 THB, whisper your wish while you're putting the coin =)

Right after Wat Pho, we took a walk through market to the harbor (not a big harbor). We had to cross the Chao Phraya River by using a boat to reach Wat Arun. The boat can contain  a lot of people and  the waving ocean kinda scared me !

Wat Arun

With Thai cultural costume - Rent this for 100THB only (some will offer you 200 THB!)

As seen on the pictures, only four of us that wore the costume. We were so pretty wearing the colorful costume =)
However, i really dislike how the rent people treat us ! They were very rude while putting those costume on us. Moreover, they used our digital camera to take only 5 pictures per person and cannot take more pictures! If you wear the costume longer, they will take the clothes from you in a rude way !!  -_-!!

From what i see, Wat Arun is actually kinda similar to Candi Prambanan in Indonesia. Other similarity would be both of the areas has REALLY HOT weather..fiuh....

If you want to buy Thai T-Shirt, you can buy it here. Behind the temple, there is a market and the seller can fluently speak Bahasa. one T-shirt cost around 80 THB for S-M size and around 100THB for the large size. There are so many Indonesian at this place, feels like i'm in Candi Prambanan lol

to be continued...

Bangkok Getaway - Day 1

Hi Guys, this would be my first post for this month !
Yeahhh... Finally we enter first quarter of this year. Time flies too fast i guess..
Today's blog is about Bangkokkkkkkk ! I love this country so much especially with the foods and fruits. The foods are just suitable with my taste and then the fruits are soooo sweeeet!!

Last month I went to Bangkok with my mom, my cousin and 5 of my aunties. We were 8 people in a group and we used travel service since this was our first time going to Bangkok ( It wouldn't be funny if we lost in Bangkok). We bought the travel from Indonesia and the tour guide picked us up during our arrival in Suvarnabhumi Airport. They welcomed us with garland =)

For the first day we had free time all day long, so the tour guide just dropped us in hotel and before that they took us to have lunch in MBK (Mahboonkrong) mall. I heard that MBK mall is one of the most favorite mall for Indonesian in Bangkok. When i went there, i found nothing special like what i expected. It reminds me of Berjaya Time Square in Kuala Lumpur. I didn't buy anything

My first lunch - Tom Yum Goong - 90 THB

I love tom yum goong and i often eat tom yum. But not with this one... This one has thick coconut milk and the taste is just weird to me =(

Thai Sweet Pancake - 20 THB each

I bought Thai's snack too. I think the taste of the sweet pancake is just normal to me, it's just sweet with the shredded coconut inside the crisp.

After we had lunch, we went to Siam Discovery. Yaayyyy !! This place is a must go place in Bangkok!! It has Madame Tussauds, yuppp it is a wax museum with a lot of well known figures, say it like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Will Smith and much more. They make the figure in details, so it looks like the actual person. It cost me around 800 THB for the ticket ( FYI, I bought the ticket through my tour guide).

soooo here we go..posed..posed and posed... Narcissism to the max !

Traditional Thai figure in entrance door

Her Majesty Queen Elizabetth II

Mao Zedong

Obama's secretary hahaha !

David Bechkam

Nicole Kidman - The most flawless wax figure i guess, it looks really real!

My favorite action actor - Jackie Chan

After satisfying out narcissism feel.. We took a walk to Siam Paragon and Siam Center. Since the tour guide had called me to the meeting point, finally we ended our day 1 trip =)
